Basketball-Liberty forward Jones named Most Valuable Player of WNBA Finals

(Reuters) – New York Liberty forward Jonquel Jones has been named the WNBA Finals Most Valuable Player on Sunday after leading her team to their first championship.

Jones averaged 17.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game in the Finals and led New York with 17 points in the 67-62 series-clinching Game Five overtime win over the Minnesota Lynx.
