Avalanche acquire Ryan Lindgren, Jimmy Vesey from Rangers

The Colorado Avalanche acquired forwards Ryan Lindgren and Jimmy Vesey and the rights to defensive prospect Hank Kempf from the New York Rangers on Saturday.

The Rangers picked up forward Juuso Parssinen, defenseman Calvin de Haan and conditional second-round and fourth-round 2025 NHL Draft selections in the deal.

Lindgren and Vesey are in line to be unrestricted free agents at the end of the season, while Parssinen is set for restricted free agency.

The Rangers are retaining 50 percent of Lindgren’s $4.5 million salary as part of the deal, according to multiple outlets.

Lindgren, 27, has a career-high 19 points (two goals, 17 assists) in 54 games this season.

Vesey, 31, has six points (four goals, two assists) in 33 contests.

Kempf, 22, has seven points (two goals, five assists) in 28 games with Cornell.

Parssinen, 24, has six points (two goals, four assists) in 22 games for the Avalanche, who acquired him from the Nashville Predators on Dec. 28.

de Haan, 33, has seven assists through 44 games this season.
