Cruz Renews Push For Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act

Senator Ted Cruz [R-TX] is renewing his effort to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist. Organization. Senator Cruz- responding to the terrorist attack in Boulder by a man with ties to the organization-says he’s  re-introducing a modernized version of his Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act.   It’s simething Cruz notes he’s been pushing for his entire Senate career and says President Trump and the Republican controlled congress can no longer ignore the threat he says the group poses to Americans and U.S. national security.

Trump Cites ADP Job Numbers, Calls On Fed To Lower Rates

President Trump is once again taking aim at FED Chairman Jerome Powell over his refusal to lower interest rates more quickly. The wisdom and efficacy of adjusting interest rates has become an ongoing standoff between President Trump and chairman Powell. After the payroll processor ADP reported job creation slowed in May, the president took to Truth Social to say the man he’s nicknamed “Too Late” Powell -quote-“ must now lower the rate. He is unbelievable. Europe has lowered nine times,”  ADP reports private payrolls grew by just 37,000 jobs last month.

Senate Votes To Block California Gas-Powered Car Ban

The Senate has voted to block California’s first-in-the nation rule banning the sale of new gas-powered cars by 2035. The resolution is one of three expected to pass Congress and be signed by President Trump aimed at blocking California’s emissions rules that critics say have undue influence over the country.. California makes up roughly 11% of the U.S. car market, giving it significant power to shape purchasing trends..and therefore the way vehicles are made and sold around the country. California Gov. Gavin Newsom and state air regulators say that what Congress is doing is illegal and they will likely sue to keep the rules in place.

House GOP Remains Hopeful For “Big Beautiful Bill” By Memorial Day

House Republicans remain upbeat about the president’s “One Big Beautiful” tax bill, despite ongoing intra-party disagreements. House Budget Committee chairman Jodey Arrington [R-TX] says the bill has the makings to fulfill President Trump’s goal of a “golden age” in America

Arrington says despite disagreements all Republicans share key goals like reducing the deficit and cutting waste fraud and abuse in the Food Stamp program and Medicaid.

Rasmussen: Most Americans See WH Cover-Up On Biden Health As Serious Scandal

A new poll shows the vast majority of Americans see the coverup of Joe Biden’s declining mental health by white house staffers as a serious scandal. 72% of likely U.S. voters responding to the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey say they believe the coverup amounts to a serious scandal. 48% say the fact that White House staffers were aware of Biden’s declining mental condition but worked to conceal it from the public and members of Congress, is a Very Serious scandal. Just 23% don’t think the cover-up amounts to a serious scandal.

Lack Of Resources Hampering Due Process For Deportees

A former assistant U.S. Attorney says Congress needs to approve more physical and legal infrastructure to provide due process for illegals destined for deportation. Andrew C. McCarthy, former assistant U.S. Attorney for the southern district of New York says it’s a simple process that should take less than a month, and involves detaining and providing hearings for those being deported. He says the backlog is enormous and is complicating the president’s effort to deport those allowed to illegally enter the country under President Biden.

High Court Appears Divided After Hearing Arguments On Universal Injunctions

The Supreme Court appeared divided after hearing arguments today (on Thursday) in a case that will determine the use of universal injunctions to keep President Trump’s executive actions from taking effect. The same day he took office President Trump issued an executive order declarig that children born to parents in the country illegally are not American citizens. Shortly thereafter  A handful of federal judges stopped that order from taking effect. In arguing the case before the Supreme Court white house lawyers argued both in favor of the president’s policy,  but also against the use of universal injunctions as a way for judges to stop certain laws, policies, and executive orders from taking effect anywhere in the country.

No Tax On Overtime Could Complicate Tax Returns, CPA Warns

Former California Congressman John Campbell [R-CA] says if President Trump’s tax agenda becomes law it may be harder to file your tax return. Congressman Campbell says no taxes on overtime adds a new layer of complication. He says workers will have to make sure their overtime qualifies for the tax exemption. Campbell also stresses that the president’s proposals are not aimed at the wealthy, but rather at helping blue collar workers achieve the American dream.

Senators Reintroduce Kids Online Safety Act

A bi-partisan bill has been re-introduced in the Senate designed to keep kids safe online. Democrat Richard Blumenthal [D-Conn) and Republican Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn) have re-introduced KOSA-the Kids Online Safety Act. It’s designed to protect chldren’s safety and privacy online. The bill enjoyed strong support in the Senate last year but was stalled in the House amid concerns about freedom of speech and censorship.  The senators note that KOSA would not censor, limit, or remove any content from the internet.

SCOTUS To Hear Arguments On Merits Of Universal Injunctions

The Supreme Court is set to hear arguments tomorrow (on Thursday) that will determine the future of so-called “universal injunctions”. At issue is whether lower court judges may issue ruling that bar a law, poicy, or executive order from taking effect anywhere in the country. The argument came to the fore when, in January, President Trump signed an executive order  ending birthright citizenship. Many of President Trump’s executive actions have been blocked by such injunctions, which the administration argues are unconstitutional.

A national security expert says Ukraine and Russia are running out of time if they hope for help from the U.S. in  bringing an end to the war. Victoria Coates with the Heritage Foundation says President Trump has already invested heavily in bringing an end to the conflict. Coates tells the Salem Radio Network now it’s time for Ukraine and Russia to decide if they’re serious. About ending the war. Russia invaded Ukraine in February of 2022.

A leading healthcare expert says the Democrat’s call for “Medicare For All” is really a bid to get all Americans on Medicaid. Paul Winfree with the Economic Policy Innovation Center says there’s a reason insurers and hospital groups are pushing back so hard against President Trump’s bid to make Medicaid more efficient. He says there’s a nationwide effort to enroll those who previously may have received Medicare into Medicaid. Part of what he says is the Democrat goal of moving healthcare to a one payer system.

Senator Tom Cotton Warns U.S. To Doubt China’s Fentanyl Promises

Cotton says China has made similar agreements with president Trump in the past only to switch tactics. First by shipping U.S. bound fentanyl first into Mexic0 and now by outsourcing much of its fentanyl production south of the U.S. border.

Senate Colleagues Concerned For John Fetterman’s Well-Being

More senators are voicing concerns about the well-being of Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman. The Hill reports De mocrat senators are having discussions about their concerns for Fetterman, after a disturbing report in New York Magazine brought to light potential health risks. The report cites communications from a forme chief-of-staff describing Fetterman as being. -quote-“on a bad trajectory’ and warning that he may not “be with us for much longer.”unless something is done. In 2022 Fetterman suffered a stroke and subsequent issues with hearing and language, as well as a bout of depression.
