White House withholds money from states with Dem senators
The Trump administration is using the government shutdown to withhold federal funding from projects in states with Democratic senators. White House budget director Russ Vought announced the withholding of 2-billion dollars for Chicago infrastructure projects. It affects a long-awaited plan to extend the city’s Red Line train.
