The White House has withdrawn President Trump’s nominee to be U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. The decision to pull Congresswoman Elise Stefanik’s nomination was not made based on her ability to win confirmation. She had already won approval from the foreign relations committee and was seen as among the least controversial Cabinet picks.
