White House salutes Jimmy Carter’s 99th birthday
The White House is saluting former President Jimmy Carter’s 99th birthday. There’s a special display on the north lawn of the White House this weekend in honor of the 39th president. It’s a three-tiered red, white, and blue wooden cake display, topped with 39 candles with the message “Happy Birthday President Carter.” It was announced earlier this year that Carter was receiving hospice care at his home in Plains, Georgia. He’s the longest living American president in history.
