The White House is deeply concerned about the well-being of the U.S. soldier who entered North Korea earlier this week. Biden administration officials say North Korea has yet to respond to U-S requests for basic information about Private Travis King, the AWOL soldier. The National Security Council’s John Kirby says North Korea “is not a country that is known for humane treatment of Americans or … anybody else for that matter.” On Tuesday, King, who was supposed to be on his way to Fort Bliss, Texas, ran into North Korea while on a civilian tour of the border.
