Voters give Trump the edge on economy, Biden on democracy
Americans have mixed views on Joe Biden and Donald Trump’s approach to some of the country’s most pressing issues. A new Reuters/Ipsos poll found that voters see Trump as the better candidate for the economy, but prefer President Biden for the preservation of democracy. Stubborn inflation has been a lingering problem for the president, which has kept his approval rating in the 30’s. Trump also holds a 13-point advantage on the topic of immigration. However, Mr. Biden has more voter support when it comes to responding to political extremism and threats to democracy.
