US, China senior military leaders speak for first time in over a year
American and Chinese senior military leaders have spoken for the first time in a year-and-a-half. Gen. CQ Brown, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, spoke with his Chinese counterpart in a video call Thursday. The Biden administration is working to thaw relations with Beijing and views military communications as critical to avoiding any missteps.
