The United States is trying to determine the fate of an American soldier who made an unauthorized crossing into North Korea. The Pentagon says it believes Army Private Travis King is in North Korean custody. A spokesman at the State Department says “we are still gathering facts.” And White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre says the administration is trying to learn where King was being held, his condition, and why he crossed the border.
