U.S. to send controversial cluster munitions to Ukraine
The United States will provide cluster munitions to Ukraine to defend against Russian attacks. In a move not supported by a majority of NATO members, the Biden administration will send cluster munitions to Ukraine. The weapon is banned by many alliance members because of its track record of causing civilian casualties.
