U.S. to allow Israeli citizens to visit without a visa

Download
Israeli citizens may soon be allowed to travel to the United States without a visa. U.S. officials say an announcement of Israel’s entry into the Visa Waiver Program is planned for later in this week. Currently, the Department of Homeland Security allows citizens of 40 mostly European and Asian countries to travel to the U.S. for three months without visas. The expected announcement comes despite disagreements between the White House and the Israeli prime minister over Benjamin Netanyahu’s effort to overhaul Israel’s judicial system.
