The United States is preparing for a possible escalation of military conflict in the Middle East. John Kirby with the White House National Security Council says the Pentagon is sending additional military forces to the Mideast in case the Israeli-Hamas conflict spreads throughout the region. He also says the White House and State Department are conducting an “hour-by-hour effort” to find the roughly 10 unaccounted for Americans and get them home.
