The United States is punishing Uganda for its law banning homosexuality. The Biden administration has imposed visa restrictions on Uganda officials after the African nation passed a strict law that prohibits homosexual activity. After passage of the law, President Biden threatened aid cuts and other sanctions.  The State Department said the visa restrictions would hold accountable those who are responsible for the measure, which carries the death penalty.
