Tuberville Stands Ground On Military Holds Over Abortion Policy
The Pentagon blasted Alabama senator Tommy Tuberville [R-AL] on Tuesday for putting holds on more than 200 nominations. Tubervlle began placing the holds in March to protest the Pentagon’s new policy of paid time off and travel reimbursements for service members who travel to get an abortion. He says he’ll only end the blockade if the Pentagon ends the policy of forcing taxeyers to pay for abortions, or if the policy is put to a vote before Cogress and codified into law.
