Trump defends Signal chat group, bashes journalist
President Trump is standing by his national security team amid the uproar over a bungled messaging chat group. Even though the Signal chat among Trump Cabinet officials and senior staff inadvertently included a journalist, the White House says the sensitive information about military strikes against the Houthis was not classified. And the president continues to show confidence in his defense secretary and national security adviser. Meanwhile, he and his administration are bashing the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, who somehow was invited to join the high-level, private chat.
