T-Mobile is cutting about 7% of its workforce. T-Mobile says the elimination of 5000 jobs will be completed by the end of September. In a letter to employees T-Mobile president and CEO Mike Severt said the cuts would have little impact on retail and other “front facing roles, and will be primarily centered on technology, corporate, and back office jobs. Sievert says the jobs largely duplicate others and are not in line with the company’s changing systems, processes, and priorities.
