VERBATIM: Speaker Johnson posted on the Social Media site X, “The Senate passed its version of the budget resolution… and is sending it to the House for consideration.”
He wrote, “Getting the two chambers together will allow us to finally begin the most important phase of this process: drafting the reconciliation bill that will deliver on President Trump’s agenda and our promises to the American People.”
Johnson says the budget resolution is not the law itself, but “only the necessary kickof for reconciliation to begin.”
