Scientists are sounding the alarm about the Trump administration’s slashing of government jobs. More than 19-hundred scientists have signed an open letter warning how the Trump administration is damaging research. The list includes up to 19 Nobel laureates. A group from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine sent the letter. In it, scientists warned that cutting funding for scientific agencies, terminating grants to scientists, and defunding their laboratories will increasingly put the United States at a disadvantage against other countries.
