Secretary of State Marco Rubio is standing by the administration’s decision to deport pro-Hamas student activist Mahmoud Khalil. Rubio says as a guest to the country Khalil had no business engaging in pro-Hamas rallies and violence at Columbia University. Moving forward he says vetting standards will be higher for those wishing to enter the country.
