Poll: majority of Dems want Biden to withdraw from race

A new poll shows Democrats are unhappy with Joe Biden at the top of their ticket. While Republicans rally around Donald Trump here at the GOP convention, nearly two-thirds of Democrats say President Biden should withdraw from the presidential race and let his party nominate someone else. Those are the findings of a new AP-NORC poll. For the past three weeks, the president has been working to salvage his re-election campaign after a dismal debate. And these poll results contradict Mr. Biden’s claim that “average Democrats” are still with him even if some “big names” want him to step aside.
