Pence won’t be charged over handling of classified documents
Former Vice President Mike Pence will not face criminal charges related to a classified documents investigation. The Justice Department, which was investigating the potential mishandling of classified information, told Pence’s legal team there will be no criminal charges. A probe began after the January discovery of sensitive documents at the former vice president’s Indiana home. No evidence has ever emerged to suggest that Pence intentionally hid documents from the government or even knew they were in his home. The former VP is set to announce his 2024 presidential bid next week.
