McConnell To Retire At End Of Current term

A round of applause for Republican Senator Mitch McConnell  as he announced he won’t seek re-election when his current term expires next year. McConnell says he’s always held in high esteem the duty to provide advice and consent on judicial nominations, and the constitutional mandate to pass laws that help keep the nation strong. In his time as majority leader McConnell played a major role in confirming three Trump  nominees to the U.S. Supreme Court.
