Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer [D-NY] is cutting short a visit to Asia to focus on the crisis in Israel. Schumer announced on Tuesday he’’ll forego a planned visit to Japan and return to the U.S. Thursday to get a classified briefing on the situation in Israel. Schumer says he’ll meet with community leaders in Brooklyn, attend Shabbat services, and spend time reflecting with family on the Hamas incursion, which Secretary of Statr Antony Blnken has called the worst attack on Israel since the Yom Kippur war in 1973.
