Judge Sets Trial Date For Dem Senator Menendez
A trial date has been set for U.S. Senator Bob Menendez [D-NJ] and his wife Nadine. A federal judge has set Monday, May 6th of next year as the start date in the trial for Menendez and his wife on federal charges of bribery, fraud and extortion. The U.S. Attorny for the southern district of New York has accused Menendez of accepting “hundreds of thousands” of dollars in bribes from three businessmen in New Jersey. The senator allegedly used his influence as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relation Committee to aid the businessmen and the government of Egypt.
