A former Israeli ambassador to the U.S. says Israel is unlikely to accept a U.S. proposal to the UN Security Council calling for an immediate ceasefire. Former ambassador Michael Oren says Israel will oppose a permanent ceasefire which plays right into the hands of Hamas. Oren says a permanent ceasefire would allow Hamas to declare victory. He says it would also give the terrorist organization time to reorganize, re-arm, and plan it’s next attack against Israel
