The House of Representatives was unable to override President Trump’s two vetoes of bipartisan bills. In two separate votes, House lawmakers fell short of the two-thirds majority needed to override the presidential vetoes. One bill was designed to help local communities pay for construction of a drinking water pipeline in Colorado. The other designated a site in Everglades National Park as a part of the Miccosukee Indian Reservation.
