Harris to give speech at Trump’s Jan. 6 rally site

Vice President Kamala Harris plans to speak on the National Mall in Washington one week before Election Day. The Harris campaign says she’ll lay out her closing argument at the Ellipse near the White House. That’s the same location where Donald Trump rallied supporters on January 6, 2021, right before the storming and ransacking of the U.S. Capitol. During her campaign, the vice president has focused on the fight to defend democracy and will remind voters what’s at stake in next Tuesday’s speech.
