Gillibrand Tapped To Head Democrat Senate Campaigns For 2026
New York Democrat Senator Kirstin Gillibrand (D-NY) has been selected to lead the party’s effort to defeat Republicans in 2026. As head of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Gillibrand will spend the next two years striving to return her party to the majority. To do that she’ll have to win enough seats to topple the GOP’s current advanatage of 53 seats against 45 Democrats and TWO Indpendents that caucus with Democrats. Her top targets for flips will be Republicans Susan Collins of Maine, and Thom Tillis of North Carolina.
