Gallup: Americans Trust State, Local Governments More Than Media, Congress
A new Gallup poll says Americans have more trust in their state and local governments than they do in Congress or the media. 67 percent of those responding to the poll said they had a “great deal” or “fair amount” of trust in their local government. Compare that to 34% who say the same about Congress and just 31% who say they trust the mass media to report the news “fully, accurately, and fairly.” 55% say they trust their state governments.
