A suspected Chinese hack of U-S government emails won’t stop the Commerce Secretary from traveling to China. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo still plans to visit China later this year despite the reported Chinese hacking of her department’s emails. She was among a group of senior U-S officials whose emails were hacked earlier this year by a group Microsoft said was based in China. Appearing on CNBC, Raimondo said he upcoming trip doesn’t “excuse any kind of hacking or infringement on our security.” And that she wants to raise “serious concerns about the way China is targeting American tech companies.
