DC to host Jimmy Carter’s funeral before burial in Georgia
The nation will say farewell former President Jimmy Carter. President Biden and former living presidents will be in attendance at this morning’s state funeral for Carter at Washington’s National Cathedral. For the past day and-a-half, Americans have filed past Carter’s flag-draped casket in the U-S Capitol Rotunda to pay their respects to the 39th president. After the service, the Carter family will return to Plains, Georgia, for a private hometown funeral and burial.
