President and Mrs. Biden will meet with families of last week’s mass shooting victims in Maine. The president and first lady travel to Lewiston, Maine, this afternoon to pay respects to victims of the deadly shooting attack and grieve with families and community members, and meet with first responders. A White House spokesperson said this type of presidential trip has become “far too familiar.” Mr. Biden is expected to renew his call for gun restrictions following the killing of 18 people in Maine.
