Biden’s offshore drilling plan angers energy companies, environmental groups

Download
The Biden administration’s plan to slash offshore oil and gas leasing is drawing fire from both sides of the issue. The Interior Department has unveiled a congressionally mandated five-year plan for offshore oil drilling that includes just three sales. Energy companies say it will raise fuel prices and while environmental groups argue it undermines efforts to stop global warming. All three of the drilling sites are in the Gulf of Mexico.
