Back in DC, Trump wants “better than a ceasefire” in Iran-Israel conflict
President Trump is back in Washington to deal with the Israel-Iran conflict. The president abruptly left the G7 summit in Canada one day early, returning to meet with his national security team in the White House Situation Room. He told reporters on Air Force One that Iran should have agreed to a nuclear deal and that, now, he’s “looking at better than a ceasefire” between Iran and Israel. Asked what that means, the president said “an end, a real end” to the conflict — and that he was looking for a “complete give-up” by Iran.
