The Associated Press is suing three Trump officials over media access to presidential events. The lawsuit asks a federal judge to stop the White House from blocking AP journalists from the Oval Office, Air Force One, and other presidential events. The news agency contends that the restrictions are an unconstitutional effort to control speech — after the AP refused to change from Gulf of Mexico to Gulf of America, as renamed by President Trump. According to the AP, the “targeted attack… strikes at the very core of the First Amendment.”
