VERBATIM: According to the Public Religion Research Institute, the highest concentrations of people who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender can be found in the Northeast and the Far West. The LGBT population is much lower in the Southeast and the Midwest. The PRRI study indicates that the states with the highest percentage of homosexuals are Nevada and Rhode Island — Kansas and South Dakota are the states with the lowest percentage. MH REPORTING
