President Biden has been the target of recent criticism about his advanced age, and occasional episodes of physical or verbal missteps in public. He was quick to contact the senior senator from Kentucky after McConnell froze during a press conference this week and says of McConnell ”He was his old self on the telephone.” The president also notes McConnell’s issues arent unusual given he’s still recovering from a concussion suffered during a fall earlier this year.
