Dec 16 (Reuters) – Apollo Global is weighing a potential sale of its air-freight company Atlas Air, Bloomberg News reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The report added that the investment firm is in the early stages of the potential divestment and may seek to value the business at more than $12 billion including debt, citing people familiar with the matter.
Atlas Air was taken private for nearly $3 billion by an investor group led by Apollo Global in 2022.
Apollo Global and Atlas Air did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for comment.
Atlas Air, which has a fleet of Boeing 747s, 777s, 767s, and 737s, provides air-freight and charter passenger travel for individuals, businesses and government agencies.
