Antigua lawmaker found dead at home in possible homicide, local media reports

(Reuters) – A member of Antigua and Barbuda’s parliament was found dead at his home early on Tuesday and police in the Caribbean island nation are investigating the case as a possible murder, according to local media outlet Times Caribbean Online.

Citing police sources, it reported that Asot Michael’s body was found in a pool of blood at his home in the town of St. Peter, Antigua. Other outlets were carrying similar reports.

Michael previously served as tourism, economic development and energy minister under Prime Minister Gaston Browne.
