(SRN NEWS)-A group of Islamic youths stormed into a small Catholic house of worship in Avignon earlier this month, trashing the building and threatening the priest. This has been going on for a number of years — with several this year already — and in every case it’s self-identified Muslim extremists. The attacks have terrorized local communities and cost the churches both in regular attendance and in cash required to make repairs. French authorities have been unable to stem the tide.
