An abortion amendment falls short in Delaware

(SRN NEWS)- The state legislature has gone into recess without taking a vote on a measure that would have enshrined abortion in the constitution.  That doesn’t mean it will never pass — but supporters will at least have to wait for the next legislative session to try again.  For the Delaware constitution to be amended requires that a piece of legislation be passed by a super-majority of the legislature in two consecutive general election cycles so the abortion amendment is back at square one.
