May 19 (Reuters) – Amgen said on Tuesday its chief financial officer, Peter Griffith, would retire, with Thomas Dittrich taking over the role in September.

Dittrich, who previously held senior finance roles at Amgen, is set to return to the drugmaker as executive vice president in July.

• Griffith, who was Amgen’s CFO since 2020 and helped advance its long-term growth strategy across the business, will remain with the company through January 2027 to support the transition.

• Dittrich will join as executive vice president from July 1 to August 31, before becoming CFO from September 1.

• Dittrich previously worked at Amgen for about eight years in various roles, including chief accounting officer and head of corporate planning.

• Amgen said he most recently served as the CFO of Swiss dermatology company Galderma Group. He also held CFO roles at Shire and Sulzer.

• Amgen said Dittrich would report to CEO Robert Bradway.
