(SRN NEWS)-Folks who are going through a divorce, suffering from an illness or dealing with the death of a loved one are more likely than those who are not to say they are reading the Bible. That’s the finding of a new poll from the American Bible Institute, which also reveals that getting fired or being a victim of a natural disaster also makes people more likely to open the Bible. As Romans 15:4 says “ through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.”
