(SRN NEWS) – Lawmakers in Ohio are working on a package of bills designed to roll back the LGBT agenda, with special attention being paid to the promotion of transgenderism in the public schools.  Troy McIntosh, a spokesman for the Ohio Center for Christian Virtues, says the legislation is being fueled by parents’ anger over how social issues are being taught.  He says there’s also dismay over the Biden administration’s nationwide push to mainstream transgenderism amongst children.  Other states taking similar action include Texas, Florida and Oklahoma.

The Supreme Court appeared divided Wednesday in a case over whether states should be able to cut off Medicaid funding to Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion business.  The court is considering a legal question that could have wider effects: Whether Medicaid patients can continue to sue over the right to choose their own qualified provider.  Several other states would like to defund Planned Parenthood and more would likely follow if South Carolina prevails.  Attorneys for the state say patients can easily visit other health centers for treatment that doesn’t include abortion.

A California man’s attorneys say he’ll plead guilty to trying to assassinate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh at his home in a suburb of Washington, D.C.  Nicholas Roske (ROSS-kee) was armed when he was arrested near Kavanaugh’s home in Maryland three years ago.  Roske told police he was upset by a leaked draft opinion suggesting the Supreme Court intended to overrule Roe versus Wade.  The draft led to protests, including at several of the justices’ homes.  Roske faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.
A judge has temporarily blocked a Montana law that bars men from using women’s restrooms in public buildings.  District Court Judge Shane Vannatta says the measure, which Republican Governor Greg Gianforte signed last month, would deprive transgender people of their constitutional right to equal protection under the law.  The governor’s spokesman Kaitlin Price says that Gianforte will defend the law adding “A man shouldn’t be in a women’s restroom, shouldn’t be in a women’s shower room and shouldn’t be housed in a women’s prison.”
