Oscar Health names former Aetna head Mark Bertolini as CEO
(Reuters) -Oscar Health Inc on Tuesday named Mark Bertolini as chief executive officer, replacing Mario Schlosser, sending the health insurer’s shares up 34% in premarket trading.
Bertolini was previously the chief executive of health insurance giant Aetna Inc, which is now a part of CVS Health Corp.
Bertolini sold Aetna to CVS in 2018 for nearly $70 billion.
Schlosser, who co-founded Oscar Health in 2012 with Joshua Kushner, will now report to Bertolini as the new president of technology.
Oscar Health’s shares were trading at $4.83 before the bell on the New York Stock Exchange.
