Senator Rand Paul and others calling for the declassification of documents showing the Energy Department believes the Covid virus originated in a research lab in Wuhan, China. In a tweet Paul—who is the ranking member of the Senate Homeland Security Committee-said documents that were leaked and reported by the Wall Street Journal should be declassified by the White House. The U.S. intelligence community remains at odds over the origins of Covid. Some still believe the virus jumped from an animal to a human host outside a laboratory.
