Maryland senator Ben Cardin [D-MD] says he’ll retire rather than seek re-election in 2024. The 79 year old Cardin told the Baltimore Sun he’s been thinking for some time about retiring at the end of this, his THIRD term. He says “  I enjoy life. There are other things I can do.”He first won a seat in the Senate in 2006.
