The Supreme Court is refusing to block implementation of a New York gun-control law while it remains subject to a legal challenge. A lower court had previously put on-hold key provisions of the law. It was enacted following the High Court’s ruling in June that’s enshrined an individuals’ right to carry handguns outside the home. At a later time the Second District Court of Appeals allowed the gun law to be enforced as the legal proceedings continued.
