The executive mansion is decked out for the season with 41 Christmas trees, 6-thousand feet of ribbon, and 79-thousand lights. And, of course, there’s a gigantic gingerbread White House that weighs several hundred pounds. “Gifts from the Heart” is the theme of the Bidens’ first White House Christmas. In this year’s holiday guidebook, the first couple write that “faith, family, and friendship” are among the gifts “that tie together the heart strings of our lives.”
